By Hansen Thompson

If you are an IT guy and would want to develop your IT skills or would simply like to take a new profession, you might want to consider being an ethical hacker. There are various organizations that offer ethical hacker courses. This course will teach you the basics of ethical hacking.

Project Managers Singapore: If one would like to be a good project manager he can undergo a Project Management Professional Training Program and ethical hacker courses.

Ethical hacking, which is also known as penetration testing or intrusion testing, is the process by which an ethical hacker tries to infiltrate computer networks and computer systems with the intention of discovering and fixing computer security weaknesses and vulnerabilities. Ethical hackers make use of the same techniques as their malicious counterparts, but recognize and report problems instead of exploiting and taking advantage of them. An ethical hacker is usually known as white hat hacker which literally means good guy and then a malicious hacker is known as black hat hacker which implies the opposite, bad guy.

After undergoing training in ethical hacking courses, you can try and obtain a professional certification and be a Certified Ethical Hacker. You may get certified by means of taking the C/EH examination. The present version of the C/EH examination is V8 that has 125 multiple choice questions, a four hour limit, and requires no less than a score of 70% to pass. The past version V7 had 150 multiple-choice questions and the same four hour time limit. Both these exams costs 500 US dollars and is administered using a computer at an EC-Council Accredited Training Center.

The International Council of Electronic Commerce Consultants (EC-Council) offers numerous certifications in many different IT security fields, including protected programming, disaster recovery, infiltration testing, and common IT security knowledge. Its best certification is known as Certified Ethical Hacker.

The EC-Council offers another certification known as Certified Network Defense Architect (C/NDA). This certification is designed for United States Government Agencies, and is obtainable only to members of chosen agencies. Other than the name, the content of the course is exactly the same.
