Python belongs to the category of high level programming languages and it is a general purpose coding language. The language has been designed in such a way that you should be able to figure out what a program does by reading the code, a feature called readability. Python is described as being concise, expressive, and clear; this is not typically the top three descriptions you expect to hear about a coding language. It's extensive functions library comes built in, making certain redundant tasks easy to replicate and simplify.
